Equipment
All VFMC-1000 (PTC) controllers designed with the MCE Torqmax AC
drive.
Description
In the course of ongoing product improvements at MCE, we have
observed that due to some anomalies such as voltage fluctuations and
electrical noise, the AC drive unit may detect a fault and shutdown.
In order to eliminate these nuisance intermittent shutdowns, MCE has
made the Torqmax AC drive software capable of recovering from these
faults thus eliminating such intermittent shutdowns.
Action
If you are experiencing intermittent shutdowns (normally
indicating MLT on the controller) that may or may not be accompanied
by faults on the Torqmax drive, or if you are unsure whether a
problem you are experiencing may be related to this issue, call MCE
Technical Support to troubleshoot the problem. If necessary, MCE
will send new software and/or hardware to correct the problem.
